AVENS currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, energetic and self motivated administrative professional! The Executive Assistant reports directly to the President & CEO and is tasked with supporting the Board of Directors, the President & CEO, and AVENS’ Senior Management team in achieving AVENS’ mission and strategic objectives on an ongoing basis.

Education and Experience Requirements
· Training in Office Administration/Office Management
· Three (3) or more years of executive administrative experience
· Experience providing administrative services to a Board of Directors is an asset
· Experience in recording meeting minutes is an asset
· Excellent English spoken and written communication skills
· Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)
· Strong attention to detail, and interpersonal skills are essential
· Project Management skills, such as Annual Report, Annual General Meeting planning are an asset
· Website management skills are an asset
Successful applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory. Vulnerable Sector criminal record check.

Pay and Benefits
SALARY: $69,693 to $78,156 annually, plus an annual northern travel allowance of $2,500

This is an excluded position which follows a Monday to Friday schedule. However, the incumbent is required to be available to work non-standard hours from time to time to attend board meetings and other functions as necessary.
