AVENS is a Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, The Receptionist/Payroll Clerk is primarily responsible for providing receptionist, administrative, clerical and transactional HR support in accordance with Avens’ policies, practices and procedures. This is a full-time Monday to Friday position and works total hours of 37.5 hours per week
Education and Experience Requirements
· Two (2) or more years of related financial/administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment
· Training and/or certification in Office administration/bookkeeping
· Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.) and accounting software proficiency (Sage and AccPac preferred)
· Ability to obtain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector (VS)Criminal Record Check
· Strong interpersonal skills, culturally sensitive and well organized
· Strong communication skills (active listening, reading, speaking and writing)
· Equivalencies of work experience and/or education may be considered

Pay and Benefits
SALARY: $28.70-36.43 per hour
PENSION PLAN: 8%, Eligible after 12 months
GROUP BENEFITS: Eligible after 3months
VACATION: Collective Agreement governs how term vacation leave is allotted and administered
SICK LEAVE: 9.375 hours per month
