donorsSince its beginning, AVENS (previously YACCS) has had the fortune of supporting its programs/services through donations thanks to the kindness of the Community.

This has been through activities such as the Annual Silent Auction where local businesses donate goods and services that go to the highest bidder. Funds raised have gone towards Christmas gifts for the seniors in Aven Manor and soon for the Aven Cottages. Other forms of donations received have been in remembrance of loved ones who have passed away or in thanks for services provided to our valued seniors.

Another annual fundraiser is the Tracks for YACCS that is coordinated by the Great Slave Snowmobile Association Trail Riders. In the winter of 2010 they ran the seventh annual running of this fun event.

Of latest note are the many businesses and individuals who have contributed both financially and in kind to Aven Cottages Territorial Dementia Facility. sideAVENS recently recognized donors who contributed over $50,000.00. "The rock" was unveiled as a lasting tribute to their generosity.
