AVENS is pleased to be able to offer Respite Care Service to you and your family or caregiver. We currently have four beds located in Aven Cottages that are reserved for Respite admissions. The intention of the beds are to provide short term respite care for people with Dementia who are living in the Community. The stay can be for a period of up to four (4) weeks at a time. This care can be provided several times per year depending on availability.
Please note that all stays are contingent having a physician in Yellowknife who will be responsible for your care during your stay and on AVENS having received completed forms 48 hours prior to your stay. The rate for the respite bed is $24.85 per day and is payable on arrival at the facility, on the first day of your stay.
